The film was shot in the Republics of Altai, Tuva, Khakassia, and Yakutia. Among the film's main themes are winter and family. How the harsh and monumental winters of Tuva, Yakutia, and Altai strengthen their people. The short stories tell family stories and bear the symbolic titles "Ada" (Father), "Ene" (Mother), and "Kyys" (Daughter).
