In response,`Chung- cheng weakens Huan's military power and imprisons him. Unable to realize his goal, Chung-huan gives his 'blood letter' to Tsao Te-shu, asking him to fulfill his will. Ta-shu promises to do so but refuses to obey Chung-cheng's order. As a king, Chung-cheng is helpless in combating the foreign invaders and murders so many able ministers.
