MAN points out that he has no feeling for her and urges her not to take his so-called promise too seriously. Deeply upset by what MAN says, CHING walks away in a rage and in sheer disappointment. CHING gets so down that she goes to confide in YAN at her home. YAN tries to persuade CHING to give up on MAN but YEE-MUI, having heard about all the virtues of MAN, suggests CHING should continue to woo him……
