When Dana recommends a herbal supplement, Ma Huang, to help Randy lose weight he decides to look into it. Lucas tries to cheer up Zach, who is still smarting over his rejection by Dana, by drinking vodka on the train. Zach shows Lucas sketches of Big Man, the comic book he is developing, and Lucas outlines Bone Melter, his feature film script.
